Ballet Shoes and Boxing Gloves

Mareike lives on Mallorca with her two daughters, and it shows in the way she moves around the island — she knows the coves, the late-afternoon light and the roads that never appear on the coastal route. Her second base is Berlin, where she comes from and still works regularly. For productions that simply means she is within reach on the island and in the German capital, with neither one being the compromise.

What sets her apart in front of the camera is something she puts best herself: a very feminine side that comes out of ballet and dance, and alongside it one that can genuinely hit back. She boxes and trains kickboxing, and that pairing is rare in casting. Ballet training lives in her posture, her line and her control, and an hour later the same woman pulls on the gloves and delivers frames with edge and speed. A campaign that needs elegance and grit in the same face would normally take two bookings.

Her sporting range reaches well beyond the ring: tennis, golf, riding, running, dance and fitness belong to her week rather than to a list on a profile. In front of the camera she brings experience from photo productions, the runway and commercials, plus moving image for social media and brand reels. She also styles herself, which on a smaller set is the difference between improvised and finished.

Mareike is available for family bookings together with her two daughters and her partner. On set she works in German, English and Italian.
